The Genius Content Strategy Of Chris Williamson
Chris Williamson has one of the most listened-to podcasts in the world. However, he doesn’t just stop there. His content strategy allows him to be successful on every single platform. Here’s how.
One of the key elements of Chris’s strategy is repurposing his podcast episodes across various platforms. Each episode of his podcast, Modern Wisdom, is sliced into bite-sized clips, which are then shared on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. By breaking down his long-form content into short, digestible snippets, he’s able to appeal to different audience types—whether you prefer a quick takeaway or a deep dive.
He maximizes content better than i’ve seen anyone. For example, on YouTube hell post the whole entire podcast, but then for the following days, he’ll post sections of the podcast with good YouTube SEO titles. So, through one 2 hour podcast he comes up with at least 5-10 youtube videos.
Hell then create as many short form clips from the episode as well and post those on instagram, youtube shorts, and tiktok. on top of all that, he takes that content and turns it into X content. He’ll take interesting takes or quotes from his podcasts and post them.
How Can You Do This For Yourself?
1. Personal Development Coach
Niche: Personal Branding, Self-Improvement
A personal development coach who runs a weekly YouTube channel or podcast could follow Chris’s strategy by:
Long-Form Content: Record a 30-minute video on “How to Build Daily Habits for Success.”
YouTube & Short Clips: Break down the video into smaller segments like “Morning Routine Tips for Success” or “The Power of Small Wins,” creating 3-5 individual videos with specific titles for YouTube.
Short-Form Content: Take clips with actionable advice and post them on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with captions like “This One Habit Changed My Life” or “Start Your Day Like This.”
Written Quotes: Pull powerful quotes from the video and create shareable text posts for X or quote graphics for Instagram stories, like “Success is built in the small, everyday habits.”
2. Fitness Trainer
Niche: Health and Fitness
A fitness trainer could easily adapt Chris’s content strategy by repurposing workouts and advice:
Long-Form Content: Film a 45-minute full-body workout session or a Q&A discussing nutrition tips.
YouTube & Short Clips: Post the entire workout on YouTube, then break it into smaller, more focused sections like “10-Minute Abs Workout” or “Top 3 Mistakes in Weightlifting.” Each topic can generate its own video.
Short-Form Content: Take short clips from the workout (like an exercise demonstration) and post them as quick, digestible videos on Instagram and TikTok, titled “Perfect Your Squat Form in 30 Seconds” or “The Best Exercise for Core Strength.”
Written Quotes/Content: Share fitness motivation quotes or “before and after” results of clients with an inspiring message. Turn those into posts for X or Instagram stories to keep engagement high.
3. Food Blogger
Niche: Cooking and Recipes
A food blogger creating content for their blog could leverage Chris’s strategy by:
Long-Form Content: Film a video showing a full cooking recipe, explaining tips along the way, like “How to Make the Perfect Homemade Pasta.”
YouTube & Short Clips: Post the full cooking tutorial on YouTube, then break it into smaller clips for YouTube and Instagram, like “How to Knead Pasta Dough” or “Simple Sauce Recipe in 5 Minutes.”
Short-Form Content: Post quick tips on TikTok or Instagram Reels, such as “3 Quick Pasta Hacks” or “Why You Should Salt Your Pasta Water.” These bite-sized clips can grab attention and drive viewers to the full recipe.
Written Content: Take the key steps of the recipe and turn them into a short, step-by-step guide for X or a carousel post on Instagram. Include visually appealing images with captions like “5 Tips for Making the Best Homemade Pasta.”

Quotes and Highlights

On top of all this, you want to create a newsletter combined with your brand, create a lead magnet people would want, and promote it within your content, especially your long-form content.
After a while, you’ll have 10,000 people you could promote your long-form content to right away.
If you want to get started with this for free, you could use a tool like Metricool (it is an affiliate link and I will earn if you use it, however, i don’t promote tools I don’t use) It allows you to link multiple accounts from your brand and then schedule content all at once. It makes things very easy. It has a free account option which allows you to post a number of posts.
The biggest key is to make sure you’re posting to the most popular platforms in your niche. For example food bloggers should post blog posts and pin pinterest pins for each recipe. Make sure you optimize your repurposing for your niche.
