Hustle Round Up Issue #1 - Pinterest in April, Amazon Influencer Program

First update.

For all the people who subscribed to follow my side hustle case studies… thank you.

This will evolve over time to be a reliable source of inspiration for anyone who is looking to make money online as a creator.

The hustle round up will be posted once per month and I will go over my findings from my side hustles…

Also I will be putting out a newsletter a couple times per week called the Creator Hustles edition which dives into different tips for creators looking to make money online.

Lets get into it.

Midjourney + Pinterest Update

In the month of April, i’ve uploaded 300 pins and as of today i’m at 1,216 pins.

The revenue is hitting $1.30 per day which i’m happy about… On top of pinterest I'm starting to get traffic from google as well which brings me to 5,037 visits for the last 30 days.

The EPMV ($$ per 1000 visits) for the traffic i’m getting is sitting at $6.78 cents.

Since it’s still early in the year (ad rates are low), I think by the end of the year I could be looking at close to double or somewhere around $12-$14 per 1000 views.

At 10 pins per day for the next 3 months, I'll hit 2,116 pins, which will hopefully bring me to high levels of traffic for quarter 4 (where ad rates are the highest).

My goal for quarter 4 is to hit 20,000 visits per month and hopefully by that time the EPMV is up around $14.

This will bring the case study revenue to $280.00 per month.

After a big push, i’m going to identify my best pins and since there’s products involved in the posts i’m making i’m going to add in amazon affiliate links in all of them to hopefully up my affiliate revenue as well.

However, I don’t like making revenue goals…. I’m more of the type to set a production goal. So for this case study i’m not going to stop until I hit 10,000 pins.

The best part about pinterest is the fact that you don’t need topical authority so you could post about many different aspects of your niche without worrying about whether or not you’re going to lose traffic.

If you’re curious about the tool i’m using to automate my pins from my blog posts, it’s Pin Generator.

Pin Generator allows you to choose templates which takes your images from your blog posts and turn them into pins.

You could then use AI to differentiate the titles and descriptions.

So when i’m done creating a pin, I use pin generator to create about 15-20 pins in about 4-5 minutes.

April income: -$7

Pin Generator is $29.00 for the plan I picked.

Mid journey is $10…

Hosting for my site I believe is $2.00 per month. So my overall monthly expenses for this project is $41.00.

I should be passed this soon and start to make a profit.

Amazon Influencer Program

I just got started with the Amazon influencer program.. I applied using my Instagram account and got accepted right away. I then posted the 3 videos as fast as I possibly can and surprisingly quickly got accepted.

I just earned the ability to get onsite commissions and i’m super excited to get going.

My goal with this program is to create 100 videos as fast as possible and see what comes from it. If I can end up making a couple hundred dollars per month from this I will be extremely happy.

I’m going to review products that I already have this way I don’t have to spend money on this side hustle. Once I start making money I will begin to invest a little at a time.

What I’m Looking For In My Side Hustles

When it comes to trying different side hustles my biggest thing is to look for scalability.

There’s no point in starting a side hustle that will only allow you to make money when you work.

A pinterest blog + Amazon influencer program are great ways for me to get started in a scalable manner.

As time goes, I will start trying other things.
